Name “black star” meant to be confusing. Thermonuclear reaction makes the star (sun) extremaly hot inside but also outside. The temperature of the surface reach over 5500 Celsius. The thermal radiation is so dense that the Sun surface is white. 

Mirror surface of “black star” reflect the light and on some angles can deceives us with the illusion of silver/white color.
